October 21,2011 Micro-Aquarium-My First Time

Today while looking in my micro aquarium I seen quite a few organisms. My water source is from the UT Medical Center's Pond. One of my favorites was the Cyclops (Rainis KG and Russell BJ. p.204). Many of the organisms were in movement while I was observing them; however, there was a few organisms that didn't move at all. Some moved a speeds that made them almost impossible to catch under microscope and some moved almost snail like. I seen most of the organisms close to the dirt area of the aquarium; there were also organisms swimming about throughout the aquarium. Looking at these organisms was amazing because no one thinks about those types of things living in water. I was quite FASCINATED!!
